We are at about 30/100,000, we seem to have reached a plateau.

Vaccination rates:

We have a population of about 10,230,000, of which about 8,200,000 are eligible for vaccination (over 18)

Of those 8,200,000, 6,365,362 have had their first dose: 77,7%

4,118,142 have had their second dose: 50.3%

I see these lower numbers being quoted, but I think that is when people use the entire population in their calculation.

Is it my imagination or is hysteria ramping up again, just when we should be feeling better with high levels of vaccinations?

I’m following an Israeli epidemiologist on Twitter (these are the times we live in 🙃), and he says after analyzing the UK ramp up and then abrupt drop off in cases with no corresponding increase in mortality, that the virus has become “endemic” - a positive development - and the pandemic is “over”. I’m trying to understand the nuance of that statement.
