Lura Dufferin Grove Park contract

Letter to "stakeholders." Nov.8, 2016:

The City of Toronto has identified an opportunity to improve the north-west corner of the park where the clubhouse, ice rink, Zamboni garage, community garden and bake oven are located. The City is beginning to explore opportunities to improve the clubhouse and surrounding area, and would like to work with the community to identify a shared vision for the north-west corner of the park that retains and respects existing programs, while providing new opportunities for programs and community gathering.

Parks, Forestry and Recreation department staff at the City are hosting a community conversation/workshop on Thursday, November 24th to bring residents, program/facility users, community organizations, businesses, City Councillor and City staff together to discuss park assets and areas for improvement.

In advance of this meeting, we are inviting key local stakeholders to participate in a one-on-one conversation with the Community Engagement Consultant retained for this project, LURA Consulting. As a key stakeholder in the community, we are interested in hearing your thoughts on the proposed planning process and engagement process going forward, and learning more about your priorities for the north-west corner of the park, potential areas for improvement and any concerns you might have.

The city has hired Lura Consulting to http://www.lura.ca/our-team/
