May 16, 2019, email from City CVouncillor Ana Bailao

Dear Brockton neighbours,

The City is holding a public consultation meeting to discuss a proposed development at 1498 Dundas St W and 646 Dufferin St (the former funeral home site). The meeting will take place on May 23, 2019 at Shirley Street Public School (38 Shirley St) with an open house at 6:30pm and a structured meeting starting at 7pm.

The proposal consists of an 8-storey mixed-use building fronting Dundas St W with 45 residential units and grade-level retail, and an 8-storey residential building fronting Dufferin St with 85 units and 8 townhomes.

City Planning will be there to answer your questions and hear your feedback on the proposal. If you are unable to make it you can submit your comments by email to Aviva Pelt, the City Planner on file at aviva.pelt@toronto.ca.

From the city's development application page:

Official Plan and Zoning By-Law Amendment to permit an 8-storey apartment building fronting onto Dufferin Street and 4 storey townhouses fronting onto Boland Lane. The height of the building would be 25.45 metres (excluding Mechanical Penthouse), and it would contain 78 dwelling units and a total of 41 parking spaces within an underground garage. A total of 7 townhouses are proposed at the rear of the site. This application is being reviewed with the Zoning By-law Amendment application at 1494-1502 Dundas St. West (File No. 19 101840 STE 09 OZ).
