CELOS Annual General Meeting "to date", Nov.13, 2019

Proper notice was given to the members, all of whom are directors.
Present:
Directors: Peter Thillaye (President), Jane Lowbeer (Vice-president), Jane Price (Treasurer), Matt Leitold, Lea Ambros, Lily Weston, Ann Bjorseth, Chris Sternberg, Mary Jane Young.
Daniela Harris (Youth Rep), Jutta Mason (administrator).

1. May 12th 2019 AGM minutes (for 2018) Motion to accept: Peter Thillaye Second: Jane Lowbeer. All in favour unanimous

2. “Should CELOS continue?” Discussion followed by motion in favour of continuing and keeping charitable status but on a small financial scale. Motion: Lea Ambros. Second Jane Lowbeer All in favour unanimous

3. Elections: No board members continued, entire slate stands down. Motion to dissolve current board : Jane Lowbeer. Second: Lily Weston All in favour unanimous

4. Discussion: Smaller 3-member board to replace the old board. The 9 members of the old board to continue as CELOS members and support the 3 member board as an advisory group. 3-member board willing to stand: Jane Price, Mary Jane Young and Lily Weston. No board titles allocated yet.

5. Motion to elect the three new directors slate: Lea Ambros Second: Jane Price All in favour unanimous

6. Financial reports: Jutta reported the balance in the CELOS account: $371.53 Motion to accept: Jane Price Second: Ann Bjorseth

7. Motion to post the minutes of 2019 “to date“ transcribed from Peter Thillaye’s notes: Jane Price Second: Mary Jane Young

General discussion : - Dufferin Grove Park new Parks and Rec supervisor Donna Densmore - Dufferin and Bloor development project schedule, and some details of the plan, Build Bloor dufferin.ca, the city and the developers - The level and cost of accounting to do audits for big charitable donations - How to use the consistent group of Dufferin Park friends that are in Jutta’s contact list ( 108 people ) to support the overall aims of CELOS as it pertains to Dufferin Grove. - How the old CELOS board (9) can support the “objects” of CELOS
