Hi Everyone,

There is now a Facebook group for The Clean Train Coalition (see Peter's e-mail below) to help us spread the word. If you are on Facebook, please go to http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=86734989 136&ref=ts . Join the group and invite others too.

I've also made an event posting for the Metrolinx meeting <http://www.facebook.com/home. php#/event. php?eid=66260683 363> so please RSVP to that and invite others.

Metrolinx Open Houses are scams. I went to one of the many they had in February. Lots of fancy signage and Metrolinx representatives smiling. The onus is on the people attending to approach the reps and voice their concerns...it's a study in divide and conquer. There have been many Open Houses and I have heard of no changes or demands being met. And I would say that our demands are pretty consistent. These Open Houses are snow-jobs.

There is amazing work being done by people living along the rail corridor - organizing meetings and informing their neighbours about what is going on. This is a complex tangle of government and business policy that is hard for me to decipher, but I know that what is proposed will be detrimental to where and how we live.

There are important questions being raised and important things happening. I don't think this is happening at the Metrolinx Open Houses...but I'm very happy to say it's happening.

I'll see everyone at the meetings next week.
