Hi All.
In addition, you can mention that we have to replace approximately 10 sheets of plywood annually and the entire baseboard every year. With new fiberglass boards the annual maintenance would be less.
Thanks,
Paul

I'm just concerned that this will be a sticking point that they will cling to and find a reason to oppose this. City Standards should be enough of a reason even if they don't like it.

Hi Nadia,
They are asking why we are doing this? we told them in order to meet City standards we have to change the size of the rink, but it seems they they are not convinced with our answer, so we think we should be specific. That's why we are providing more details.

If I may weigh in, can we take out the line I highlighted below? I think this is too specific of a statement in this context.

Subject: Question?!
Hi Paul,
Is this a fair statement to be shared with the public?:
The hockey rink at Dufferin Grove Park, which is separated from the pleasure pad by dasher boards, doesn't meet the City standard's size for the outdoor hockey rinks. Currently, the corners of the ice rink are too tight for the ice resurfacing vehicle (Zamboni) to effectively resurface, leaving areas of ice that are rough and uneven relative to the remainder of the surface. The rink slab replacement based on the City's standard for rink size will allow City’s resurfacing vehicles to operate effectively therefore the quality of the ice can be as good as possible.
Thanks,
Katy
