From Councillor Adam Vaughan's newsletter; A formal process to create and explore how local levies can be used by businesses and residences to finance the re-development, maintenance and programming of local parks through the establishment of Parks Improvement Associations (PIAs) has now been approved by City Council. This will hopefully provided the method by which he City of Toronto Act can be used to further engage and formalize a host of experiments now under way in every neighbourhood in the Ward.
