Help build an archway at MacGregor Park in honour of Kristen Fahrig
Artist in residence at MacGregor Park, she enlivened the park with her art, and before that, Dufferin Grove Park as well. Kristen Fahrig, artist, teacher, active keeper of the community, died on November 10, 2017. Kristen had poured her vivacious energy into our neighbourhood Toronto park, MacGregor Playground at Lansdowne and College, transforming it from a lackluster patch of overlooked land to a vibrant hub of community, creative expression, and collective gardening.
In the years before her death, Kristen was designing an archway at the entrance to the park, forged by local artist blacksmiths and entwined by flowering vines. Unfortunately, The Archway was only ever partially finished. It was a final hope of Kristen’s that it would be completed and installed.
